Evolve Motors is pleased to present this 1968 Chevrolet C10 Suburban
We purchased this Suburban from a fire department in Montana, who had owned the truck since new. During their 48 years of stewardship, the truck served as an ambulance and assistance vehicle. The original owner's manual and Protecto-Plate are included in the sale, as well a number of original parts. The C10 Suburban is an interesting truck; as you'll note from the photos, there is only one door on the driver side, and two on the passenger side. This particular example is equipped with a three-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel-drive
Exterior
Paint is so-so. White paint hides nothing, and after all, this has been a service truck for nearly fifty years. There are a number of chips in the paint, though the largest concentration is on the passenger front fender. Chrome shows very well all around, with no bubbling or dents. Glass is clear and crack-free. Chrome Ultra wheels suit the truck well, and are in great shape. Original wheels will also be included in the sale, though they have some surface rust and could use a refinish before being mounted. There is a small dent at the rear passenger lower corner of the vehicle, below the side marker (see photo). Overall, this is a handsome truck that with a bit of cosmetic attention could be a real head-turner
Interior
Spacious, spacious, spacious. With the lack of rear seats, there is a phenomenal amount of cargo space. This truck would make for an excellent delivery vehicle or camping companion. The interior presents well; up front, the bench seat is free of any tears or significant blemishes, as are the door panels, dash, and carpet. Gauges are all functional and crack-free, and the headliner is nice and tight. Rear cargo area is lined with aluminum, again, making it the perfect cargo-hauler
Under the Car/Hood
There is no through rust to be found anywhere on the truck. There's the little light surface rust spots just behind the rear bumper that you'll see in the photos, but that's the extent of it. The truck has spent its life garaged in Montana and it shows. Underbody looks great, with no evidence of any leaks, damage, or corrosion. Truck fires right up, and runs and drives well. Three-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, and brakes are effective and linear. There are no noises or tendencies of concern
