First off, a bit of background on the J10 Pickup. Jeep's “J-series” trucks were based on the SJ platform, shared with the Cherokee, Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer, albeit with some slight revisions. SJ-based pickups have been on the road since 1962, when the SJ platform was first debuted. The early trucks were called Gladiators, while later models were called J trucks. In 1982, customers could opt for either a J10 or a J20, the J10 being the half ton truck and the J20 a 3/4 ton truck. The J10 had a full-floating Dana 44 front axle, a semi-floating AMC20 rear axle, and 6-lug wheels
Exterior
The truck looks sharp wearing a medium-blue respray. It absolutely has presence; it's a tough-looking truck. Paint is decent – no glaring flaws but it's not so nice that you'd feel obligated to baby the truck. There are a couple very minor chips, but the body shows no dents or dings. Chrome is in similar shape, some slight aging but still shows well. White 6-lug wheels are in good shape, and tires have quite a bit of tread left. The inside of the bed features a large Trinity lock box, keeping your belongings safe
Interior
The grey/blue interior contrasts beautifully with the blue exterior. With the exception of a crack on the outside of the driver's seat bottom, seats are in excellent condition. Dash shows limited wear, as do the steering wheel and gauges. All gauges and dash lights are functional, as is the heat. A/C does appear to be functioning, though it does not blow out with much force. Interior condition is consistent with the exterior; it's nice enough to impress, but worn enough to not have to stress about keeping it spotless
Under the Hood / Underbody
Truck runs and drives very well. It tracks straight, brakes straight, and always starts first turn. There are no surprises underneath, frame rails are rock solid and there is no through rot of any sort. On the road there are no noises or tendencies of concern. Receipts in-hand for a late 2016 service at our shop which included a new fuel pump, a brake job (shoes, cylinders, master cylinder, hardware, bleed/flush), front cover seal, oil pan seal, new spark plugs, new lug studs and wheel locks, trans filter/gasket, trans cooler line and fluid. Wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere
