Finished in the ever sporty and rare Ravenna green, this 914 certainly stands out in a crowd! Fitted with the black vinyl top and removable roof section, the exterior of this Porsche is visually well balanced. Not an easy accomplishment in a turbulent time for cars in general. The interior is finished in the Cinnamon leatherette basket weave and is in stunning condition. The seats are plush and comfortable, but keep you planted during maneuvering. The dashboard was just recovered and looks great. Under that resides all the crystal clear gauges, knobs, and accessories which function and look great too. Even the seat belt light and buzzer remind you to buckle up! Just behind the cockpit is where you can find the top half of the motor and the “hell hole”, or the battery box. Known for holding moisture till the tray rotted away, this is the area that was most prone to rusting. Ours does show some surface rust as shown in the photos, but is in nice condition overall. Just past that is the trunk area which houses the roof when removed. The towers are in good shape as well as the pan but it does show signs of rust starting at the very rear, as shown in the pictures. Up front, the boot opens to reveal a super clean and rust free spare well, towers, and component bay
Powered by the optional 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder boxer engine, this “GA” engine car produces 91 horsepower and 105 lbs of torque. Weighing in around 2,100 lbs made this car a force to be reckoned with. Although there were plenty of faster cars available, this was the most nimble car an enthusiast could jump in. To sweeten the deal, a five speed transmission and independent suspension all collaborated on making this car into a true sports car. Ours has been regularly serviced with documentation which covers the fuel system, brakes, etc. The exhaust has seen better days and could use updating but the heat exchangers are mostly intact
The next owner of this car could easily jump in and drive off with no problems or could spend a few bucks taking this car to the next level. Either way the price on these cars is increasing as they get snatched up by collectors and speculators. This the opportunity to buy a well-cared for, documented, driver that's ready to go. Please give us a call to set up a showing on this 914, before it's too late
