We purchased this '85 Fleetwood Brougham Coupe from a local gentleman, the second owner. He had purchased the car from a neighbor of his who had bought it new at Hanley Dawson Cadillac & Datsun here in Chicago. As it sits now, fresh off a comprehensive inspection and subsequent service, this extremely original, 73k mile 2dr Brougham is in need of nothing other than a new owner to use and enjoy it.

Exterior:
- Please take a look at the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes are all shown close-up and under direct sunlight, though there aren't many. This car has been responsibly-owned and well-kept. Original paint with the exception of the passenger rear quarter, as confirmed with an elcometer. Paint is in impressive condition, especially considering the age. No areas of discoloration, peeling, etc. The one resprayed panel was done right; it appears as factory.
- Polished surfaces are all very nice. Mirror-like, with no oxidation.
- No curb rash or damage on the wheels, though it is missing a centercap on the passenger rear hubcap. Tires are in nice shape, with no dry rot and plenty of tread remaining. DOT number C9NX315.
- Glass is all clear and crack-free, as are light and signal lenses.
- Medium Sage top is in excellent condition. No damage, discoloring, or real signs of age.
- Rear filler panels are in nice shape, passenger front has a hairline crack. Color matching is very good. In the video you'll note some whiteness to the rear fillers….that's wax left over from being detailed. Scrapes off with a finger or fairly abrasive towel.

Interior:
- Again, please defer to the photos and video. Interior condition is very impressive. Midnight Sage, what a color. Wear throughout the interior is negligible; really a nice survivor. No pilling of the velour, no tears, scuffs, stains, discoloring, etc. Headliner is nice and tight. Floormats are clean and show little wear. Carpet is excellent, still plush and colorful. Door panels show no kicked-open markings. Sills are nice and clean.
- Dash is crack-free, no damage, discoloring, or warping.
- R12 air conditioning is not functional. Blower motor is also no good. The settings for the climate control unit are functional, but air does not blow out with force. Outside temp reader is functional. Lights and signals are all functional inside and out. AM/FM radio turns on but only plays static due to a non functional power antennae. Speakers are good. Cassettes, rather than 8 tracks, should work just fine. Gauges are all functional, including fuel gauge and odometer. Odometer reading of 73,400 miles is accurate based on known ownership history and impressive original condition. Power locks and windows are functional.

Under the Hood / Underbody:
- Please take a look through the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. Car is nice underneath. No previous metal work. There is some minor texture to suspension components, hinting that undercoating was sprayed over some surface rust, but there is absolutely no through rust or anything close to it. Very dry, solid, and structurally sound.
- The car runs and drives really well. It starts first turn, idles cool and steady, pulls through the gears without and stuttering or hesitation, shifts smoothly, brakes straight and effectively, and tracks straight down the road. No exhaust leaks, the car drives down the road nice and quiet.
- We had a thorough inspection done on the car in March 2019, as we knew the car had seen only a couple thousand miles of use over the last ten years when we got it. Fuel tank was drained and cleaned, oil and filter changed, spark plugs changed, compression checked (145+ psi across all 8), brakes checked (at 75% life), fluids topped up, and suspension/steering components checked for tightness. While the video along with the listing was taken in 30 degree weather, the car does smoke a little bit on startup. It's by no means glaring, but exhaust is a bit spicy. We expect this to go away as we just changed fluids and are now going to put some miles on the car, but do think it's worth mentioning.
- Car will be sold with the original manual and maintenance booklet in the original dealer sleeve.
