We purchased this '79 Spider Veloce from a gentleman in Indiana who had owned the car for the last six years. Over the course of his ownership the car saw quite a bit of use as well as mechanical tending-to. While the owner had a number of cars, this was one of his go-tos. Not surprising, as the relatively fresh suspension overhaul means the ride quality and road handling are outstanding. There are no creaks, rattles, or anything of the sort. Top down, four cylinders singing along, this car is a ton of fun. It sounds great, and is surprisingly quick and exciting.

Exterior:
- Please take a look at the video along with the listing, as the car is covered in detail. Blemishes are all shown close-up and under direct sunlight.
- Paint, while good from ten feet away, has some blemishes upon close inspection and is a little dull. Paint on top of the fenders and quarters has a slight “tiger tail” to it, likely from being repeatedly buffed over the years. Paint still cleans up nicely, as you can tell in the photos and video, but it's by no means a show car.
- Glass is clear and crack free.
- Convertible top is in nice shape. No punctures or damage. Fits great.
- Campagnolo wheels are in great shape, with minimal scuffing or signs of age, and the tires are new this year (2019).
- The white yin and yang sticker on the front fender where you may often see a green clover is just that, a sticker.

Interior:
- Dash top is really nice. There is one few inch partial crack towards the center from the vent to the windscreen. Not within the driver's field of vision.
- Seats are excellent and were redone in 2016.
- Radio delete. No block off plate in place.
- Gauges and lights are all functional. Odometer reads 088766 and is functional. We would assume it is accurate but cannot be positive.
- Blower motor is functional. This car does not have AC.
- Carpet on the sills and floormat carpet aren't a great match. Door panels show some age by way of bits of fade/discoloring. Alfa Personal wood steering wheel in in great shape. Visors are in nice shape, not crunchy or deformed. Weatherstripping is nice all around.

Mechanical / Underbody:
- Underbody looks quite good. Frame is solid. Very much structurally sound. Please take a look through the photos. No evidence of any prior rust repair or significant damage.
- Engine number AR01615*A96597 puts it in the correct window for a '79 Spider, so the engine is more than likely original to the car.
- The car starts right up, idles cool and steady, and pulls hard through the gears. Shifts are nice and smooth; transmission was rebuilt and clutch replaced in 2015. Engine and brakes were also gone-through in 2015. Again, please see photos of this receipt in the gallery. The car really feels great on the road. Under our ownership the car has seen an oil change, replacement of the distributor, plugs, and wires. As it sits now, it's in need of nothing other than someone to use and enjoy it.
