We purchased this excellent Excalibur Phaeton Series IV from a local woman who had owned the car for just shy of twenty years. These Excaliburs are interesting cars, having been somewhat of an 80s popular culture icon, with a list of celebrity owners including everything from top-tier professional athletes to Hollywood's biggest stars. It's hard to believe how few of these cars were produced, considering how instantly recognizable they are. This Series IV Phaeton is actually one of just over a thousand Series IV Excaliburs ever built, making it a seriously rare car. As a convertible four-passenger Phaeton, this would make for an excellent parade car, family cruiser, or collection piece.

Exterior:
- Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes are all shown close-up and under direct sunlight. Imperfections include some minor pitting on a couple of the polished wire wheels, checking of the finish on the front fenders, and a few chips and scratches scattered about the car.
- Removable hardtop is in excellent shape and fits nice and snug. Burgundy soft convertible top is in great shape but does not go up and down. We can hear the motor working when hitting the switch, but top is not functional. We'd always have the top down and boot cover on anyway, or hardtop on for the long hauls.
- Broadway Classic whitewalls are in nice shape, and the DOT number indicates manufacture in 2006. Thirteen years old, therefore we'd probably recommend replacement before adding too too many highway miles.
- Polished surfaces are very nice, with no oxidation or damage on the trim pieces. Bumpers are excellent, no scuffs or damage. Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free.

Interior:
- Again, please defer to the photos and video. Interior is quite good. Burgundy leather is in excellent shape, with just minor wear on the driver's outer bolsters. Rears are excellent. Carpet is very nice front and rear, and the carpet in the footwells is new.
- Odometer reads 35,656 and is functional and believed accurate. Air conditioning has been converted to R134a and while the compressor does kick on, it does not blow cold. We have not gone so far as to vacuum test it to see if it will hold a charge. JVC radio is functional. Fan/heat is functional. All four power windows are functional. Powered seats are functional. Gauges are all functional, including analog clock.
- Dash is very nice. Wood isn't scuffed up or damaged at all, looks great. Gauges are nice and clear, not fogged or tired-looking.

Mechanical / Underbody:
- Please take a look through the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. Very, very nice underneath. A little road dirt wiped away reveals clean, shiny black metal underneath. No through rust whatsoever.
- The car runs and drives very well, and garners a crowd everywhere it goes. It starts right up first turn, idles cool/steady/quiet, pulls through the gears without hesitation or stuttering, shifts smoothly and on time, and has nice, tight suspension with no concerning rattles or clanks. The car tracks straight down the road, and brakes straight and effectively. As it sits now, this car is ready to be used and enjoyed.
