We purchased this beautiful '63 Corvair Convertible out of Indiana, where it had been since 2008. While it's fairly far off from its original spec, considering the car was originally Saddle Tan on Saddle Tan, this is a very nicely-presented driver. The red on two-tone vinyl interior looks great, and the four speed manual transmission and strong-running flat six make this car a real pleasure to drive. As it sits now, this car is in need of nothing other than a new owner who will use and enjoy it.

Exterior:
Please see the walkaround video along with the listing, as it provides a close look at the car. Blemishes are all highlighted in the video, though there are few. Blemishes include a couple little chips and dust nibs, as well as a couple pieces of somewhat tired weatherstripping. We aren't quite sure when the red paint job was applied, but it does present well. No glaring overspray or orange peel texture, just the couple little dust nibs shown in the video. Trim pieces are in nice shape, with only very light signs of age. No significant oxidation or pitting. Driver's side mirror is on order and will be installed prior to sale. Glass and light lenses are free of any cracks, and the lights and signals are all functional. Windows all roll up and down nice and smoothly. Panel fitment is spot on and the doors/hood/trunk open and close smoothly and easily. No slamming, no weird quirks. Hubcaps are free of any wrinkles or oxidation. Hankook whitewall tires are in great shape and the DOT number indicates they were manufactured in 2009. Powered convertible top is in excellent shape. No punctures, bits of fraying, stains, etc. Powered top operates just as it should.

Interior:
Again, please defer to the photos and video. Interior is super nice. Very little for noteworthy wear on the upholstery. Really the only thing to be aware of is a scuff on the driver's outer seat back bolster, which looks to likely have been made by a driver's belt or something of the sort. Black carpeting is worn a little bit thin, but still looks good and by no means in need of replacement. Black floormats will come with the car as well. This car does have seatbelts in the front, it does not in the rear. Dash looks fantastic. Polished surfaces are free of oxidation, scratching, or damage. Both original and aftermarket gauges are functional. Five digit odometer reads 66,841 miles; we cannot be sure if this is actual chassis mileage or not. Radio, while it looks great, is not functional. Sills are nice and clean, door panels are free of any kicked-open markings or other damage.

Underbody/Under the Hood:
Please take a look at the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. This car looks to have had a good bit of rust repair in its life, as visible in the photos. The floors have been replaced and filler is evident towards the rear frame rails. It's not something that would concern us as a summer fun car or weekend driver, but this is certainly not a concours car. The strongest point of this car, despite the excellent cosmetics, is how well it drives. Smooth, quiet, and uneventful. These cars are such great sunny day cruisers. Suspension is well-sorted, no tendencies or noises of concern. The car starts right up first turn, idles nice and steady, pulls through the gears with no hesitation, up and downshifts smoothly, tracks straight, brakes straight and effectively, and eats up bumps very well. The car has been in the same showroom spot for a week now and doesn't even have a drip of oil underneath it! Nice car, ready to go, drive home with confidence.
