We purchased this awesome '74 Club Wagon survivor from a local gentleman who had owned it for about eight years. He had bought the van out of Kansas, where it is believed to have spent the overwhelming majority of its life. During his ownership he finished the interior, installed new wheels and tires, and added about 7000 miles of road use. We purchased the van earlier this year and have been using it as a parts runner and commuter here at the shop. We like the van for a number of reasons, but the overarching one is the extreme originality and dry, honestness of it, and of course the fun-factor of running a 302/3spd column-shift around the city.

Exterior:
Original paint throughout, as confirmed with an elcometer (1.7-1.9 depth on every panel). The photos and videos provide a good look at cosmetic condition. A variety of minor chips, scratches, and dings, as well as some areas where the paint has been worn or buffed thin, but the van still retains a great bright blue color with a nice slight patina. Unbelievably dry van – the lower corners and insides of the wheel wells are nice and smooth, not bubbling. Glass is all clear and crack-free, weatherstripping is a bit tired but is still water-tight, and the windows pop out as seen in the photos. The opening of the side door on the passenger side triggers a spring-loaded step, which retracts when the door closes. BFG Radial TA tires were new in 2019, American Racing wheels are free of any oxidation or damage. The van will also come with its original white steelies, hubcaps, and spare.

Interior:
Again, please defer to the photos and video. Seats are in excellent shape with the exception of a very minor tear on the driver's outer seat bottom. Blue houndstooth is a great look and complements the exterior beautifully. Headliner is clean/tight/intact. Blue carpeting is in great shape, just the slightest discoloring on the doghouse. Dash top is nice, one hairline crack on the passenger side. Gauges are all functional, aftermarket tach has also been added below the cluster. Lights and signals are all good, heat/fan/defrost are all good, wipers and wiper sprayers are good, windows are roll-ups and track nicely. Doors open and close as they should, no slamming, panel fitment is spot-on.

Underbody/Under the Hood:
Please take a look at the underbody photos, as the van is documented in detail. Impressive shape. Dry, dry, dry. This van is a real blast to drive. The 302 V8 provides more than sufficient power and the three speed on the column is a refreshing change from the usual automatic – this van can really move in a straight line. It fires right up first turn, idles cool and quiet, pulls hard through the rev range, shifts smoothly, has good clutch feel, and brakes nice and straight. No shakes, shimmies, or concerning tendencies, with plenty of recent exercise, this van is ready to enjoy.
