Exterior:
Please take a look through the photos and video, as the car is documented in detail. Oxford White paint with red pinstripe is original throughout, as confirmed with an elcometer. Paint presents extremely well, with just a few minor blemishes. There is one noteworthy spot of bubbling on the car, and that is located on the passenger rear quarter, just forward of the rear wheel. There is also chipping and a ding on the center of the nose, just above the grille and Ford badge. The white convertible top is original and shows its age—there are a couple little punctures, as well as a white duct tape repair at the back. Red vinyl boot cover is in excellent shape. Top is powered and functions correctly. Glass is all clear and crack-free. Polished wire hubcaps are in nice shape with the exception of a ding on the passenger front hubcap. All four centercaps are present. Tires are in good shape but are older than they should be. Lights and signals are all crack-free and functional. Panel fitment is spot on, doors open and close nice and smooth.
Interior:
Again, please defer to the photos and video. Interior looks really good. Scarlet red cloth buckets have survived in excellent shape. Only signs of wear on any of the cloth is some minor fading on the driver's upper outer bolster. No tears, burst seams, punctures, burns, sun fade, etc. Rear seats look to have been seldom sat in, if ever. Original red carpeting is well-preserved too, and only shows the slightest bit of age. Dash top is mint, center console too. Original radio is functional and speakers sound good, not blown out or damaged. No hairline cracks in the plastic, interior has held up very well. Plastic seat belt receptacles are still intact. Sun visors are firm and hold their position. R12 air conditioning is functional and blows cold. Heat and fan are functional. Gauges are all functional. Odometer reads 81,160 miles and is believed accurate based on original condition and the vehicle history report.
Underbody/Under the Hood:
Please take a look at the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. Underbody is quite clean, consistent with the rest of the car. Underbody condition is really impressive considering that this has been a Midwest car since new (Indiana 1990-2003, Wisconsin 2003-2010, Minnesota 2010-2020). No evidence of any prior metal work, no through rust, no jack point damage. Clean and dry.
This car runs and drives very well. It's lively, the ride quality is great, and it's a lot of fun with the top down. Great summer car – well-sorted convertible with good AC. The car fires right up first turn, idles cool and steady, pulls smoothly through the gears, shifts nicely and on-time, tracks straight, brakes straight and effectively, and is nice and quiet with no exhaust leaks. No active fluid leaks either. Replace the tires as you feel fit and enjoy straightaway.
