For sale is our 1968 Plymouth Barracuda hardtop coupe. Nothing to hide here so please be sure to view all pictures carefull and definitely watch our detailed video on youtube. We will do our best to adress everything we can see.
This is a fantastic cuda and with a little TLC would make an excellent show car.
Exterior:
The body and trim is nice and straight. All panel fitmet is good and we dont see any signs of major damge or repair. The car has a new paintjob in its orignal colorway. The paint work is A- quality and shows very nicely. Please not that we do have the remaining trim in the trunk as you can see in the pics. The britework/ trim has some usual blemishes throughout but for the most part is very nice and straight. Glass is all in good shape as are all the emblems. We notice a couple small lens fractures that are in the pics and videos. The car was painted and we bought it before the trim was all installed etc. Please note that we have the rear vinyl trim moldings and filler (see trunk)
Interior:
Originally a Burgundy factory vinyl interior. The seats and dash were recolored at some point to show in black. The previous owner had purchased red carpeting, door panels, and seat backs with the intenrion of bringing it back to its original color red. All interior materials are in the trunk and brand new. This is a console floor shift car and the console is in great shape. The headliner is nice and complete and all belts are present in the car. The new carpets include underpading and is the correct loop material.
Underhood/Mechanically:
The car has what we believe to be its original 318 CI V8 as optioned. The motor runs perfectly and makes surprisignly good power. IT shifts well and doesnt hesitate when you jump on the gas. The non-pwer brakes stop the car well and the car tracks straight down the road. It is a very nice driver just as it sits. The power steering makes driving the car a joy
Underbody:
The previous owner began prepping the floor pans to replace/repair them and that is the point that we bought the car. As you can see the carpets are out of the car and some grinding and prepping has been done on the floor pans. Under the car has a couple small repairs that it would benefit from. Overall the car is nice and striaght and true and has some normal signs of floor pan rot. Again, the new carpets and interior pieces are ready for re-installation once the floor repairs are complete.
