You are looking at a unique 1960 Buick Invicta. This started as a 1960 Invicta 2 Door Hardtop. The car was later mated with a same year convertible and now sits as a Buick INvicta "Clone". Laugh all you like but as you know Invicta convertibles are extremely valuable. So here is a chance to own a "converted" convertible that presents very well. The builder has done over 10 of these cars over the years and understands the process and necessary modifications. As a 1960 Buick, this car has full outer frame rails as well as the X frame so they bear the weight nicely once swapped. The car has newer paint, new top, and is a nice driver. It is far from perfect but it is absolutely cool and can be owned for the fraction of a proper convertible.

PLEASE VIEW ALL PICTURES CAREFULL AND BE SURE TO WATCH OUR YOUTUBE VIDEO ON THE CAR FOR THE MOST IN DEPTH ANALYSIS.

The metal on the car is nice and straight. We note minimal panel repairs and the body lines show quite nicely. It was repainted recently and the paint work is B grade quality. There is some overspray, light blemishes, and some usual chips and scratches but really shows great from 5 steps away. All the panel fitment is good and the car appears nice and straight. The top is new and will benefit from some time in the sun to stretch. The glass, including the rear top window is all in good shape. Small crack in drivers side glass. The trim is all here minus antennae bezel, wiper arms (we have them). The bumpers looks like they are new or newly chromed and the trim and lights are in great condition. We do note that the trunk lock cylinder is not present and can be opened manually.

The interior of the car has been recovered at some point and again, shows as B grade work. The carpets are original and dirty and the dashs hows some overspray. We have some additional trim parts that go along with the car. The convertible top is full power and is an OEM system out of a 60 Convertible. The top works nicely moving up and down. Since the top material is a little tight still it takes from arm-pull to lock the levers down. We do note some light fiberglass repairs on frame but it is otherwise in nice shape.

Mechanically the car is a decent driver. It runs, drives and stops well. It has power brakes which stop the car nicely. The original V8 401 Nailhead has only minor drips and always fires up and idles nicely. It has a new fuel system from pumps o filters. The carb seems to be in decent shape but does not appear to have been rebuilt as of late. Tires and wheels are new in 2019 and have full tread. The car holds the road nicely and is a joy to cruise....top down of course. The headlights and signals work as they should. We not one high beam lamp is out on the passenger side. The wiper motors are in good working order as is the horn.

The underside of the car looks nice and solid from the rockers to the rails. This was clearly a good straight car to start the project with.
