Runs and Drives Great

Here is a great example of a 1952 Willys M38A1. This was restored a few years back to an "era correct" level. It is still on the 24V System and the truck is mechanically in great shape. We have done our best to show you every detail good and bad. Please be sure to watch our detailed video for the most in depth look. I believe the windshield is not era correct as it should have been a 2 piece style, but I will defer to the experts!

Mechanically the unit runs and drives really well. It idles nice and smooth and accelerates great. The prior owner was a lifelong mechanic so under he hood is very well sorted. We note that the radiator or water pumps have a small seep when hot. We also notice that it tends to flood when shut off at idle and can sometimes take a minute to re-fire. Otherwise it is mechanically very sound. The Headlights and Tail Lights work (Left front bulb is out). The turn signals are non functional. There are some small wiring connections that may require some tending to. We simply added fresh gas, checked the oil level and took it for a ride! The gearbox works as it should in both low and high gear. The clutch feels great and the braking is good. We note that the rubber on the tires is dried and cracked but the tubes hold air nicely.
