**What you see is what you get! Be sure to watch our YouTube video for full detail. **
We are proud to present this true “R” Code 1969 Mustang Mach 1, originally born with the legendary 428 Cobra Jet powerplant. Finished in its factory Candy Apple Red with black vinyl interior, this fastback represents one of the most desirable Mustang builds of the era. While the original engine and transmission were separated from the car over 40 years ago, what remains is a rare and authentic restoration candidate with excellent investment potential.
Exterior
This Mach 1 left the Dearborn assembly line finished in Candy Apple Red (Paint Code T5). The body presents as a solid foundation for restoration, with the desirable fastback profile and Mach 1 trim. What you see is what you get — please review our photos and video carefully for an accurate depiction of condition.
Interior
From the factory, the car was optioned with Black Vinyl Bucket Seats (Trim Code 3AA). While the interior is in need of a complete restoration, the important original Mach 1 details are present and awaiting proper refurbishment.
Under the Hood & Body
Originally built as an R-Code 428 CJ with a C6 Automatic Transmission (Code U) and 3.50 Locking Differential (Code S), this Mustang no longer retains its drivetrain. The engine and transmission were separated decades ago, making this a blank canvas for either a correct drivetrain restoration or a custom high-performance build. The VIN and data plate both confirm its authenticity as a genuine R-Code SCJ Mach 1.
